Both Dundee United and Motherwell will be looking to bounce back to winning ways when the go head to head at the Tannadice Park in an important Scottish Premiership on Tuesday night with kickoff at 22:45.
Dundee United extended their winless run in the Premiership to three matches when they were held to a 0-0 draw by St Johnstone at away on Saturday, as prior to the draw the club was coming off another 0-0 draw against Dundee and a 1-0 defeat to league leader Celtic.
However the back-to-back draws have seen the Terrors climb back into the top half of the table as they now sit in the sixth on 30 points collected from 25 matches, with just three points behind the fourth placed Motherwell, although, they are just a point above Aberdeen, Livingston and St Mirren who are level on 29 points.
Therefore, Tam Courts will be hoping to turn the draws into wins as they look to keep their status in the standings while aiming to climb further up the table.
Meanwhile Motherwell have also been struggling in the Premiership in the recent weeks with the club failing to claim three points in their last five league matches a run that has allowed other clubs to start catching them up. They now sit just two points above the fifth-placed Hibernian and as mentioned early three above their Tuesday hosts.
With a 10-point gap between themselves and Hearts, the focus shall mainly be on keeping themselves in fourth place, and building another run of results would help make that happen. Coming up against a side they beat in their last meeting Motherwell will see this as a perfect chance to bounce back.
