Estoril vs FC Porto Match Analysis & Prediction
09/01/2024 8:45 pm
A place in the quarter-finals of the Portuguese Cup will be at stake when Estoril and FC Porto meet on Tuesday night.
The hosts have been a force to be reckoned with in Primeira Liga since being promoted from La Liga Pro at the end of the 2020/21 season.
Vasco Seabla’s side finished in the bottom six last season but are now within reach of the top half of the table.
One of the main reasons for their rise in the standings is the team’s solid home form.
The Canaries have won five of their last five games at home and have scored four goals in each of their last two games so home fans will be hoping for a chance on Tuesday.
Porto started the season very well but is currently struggling in the league.
Sergio Conceição’s side sits third in the Premeira División, five points behind the leaders, but have picked up three points just once in their last three league games.
Considering the Dragons have also lost their last two games against Estoril, it would be no surprise if Porto are eliminated from the competition on Tuesday.
Estoril vs. FC Porto Head to head

The defender is the hosts’ only injury concern, with Eric Cabaco replacing Estoril head coach Vasco Cebula on Tuesday, who will be sidelined again due to injury.
Boss Seabra is expected to change the team on the pitch from kick-off in the last defeat against Sporting, with Cassiano Díaz Moreira (5 league goals) among the players who will benefit from this change.
