Malawi and Zimbabwe square off at the Kouekong Stadium looking to get their African Cup of Nations campaigns up and running on Friday evening with kickoff at 19:00.
Both sides fell short in their opening matches despite displaying spirited fights on the day, with both falling to 1-0 defeats to Guinea and Senegal respectively.
The two find themselves at the bottom of the pile and both will be trying to salvage their campaign with a win on Friday. However, both sides head into the match in a poor form with Malawi losing all their last five matches on the trot, while Zimbabwe have not won in their last 12 matches across all competitions.
However, Zimbabwe will fancy their chances of picking up maximum points on Friday as they have only lost in one their last 10 meetings against Malawi and will also be basing their chances on their great performance against Senegal in their last fixture, hoping to use it as a springboard for a more productive outing on Friday.
