On Tuesday, Zambia will play host to Comoros in their second Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match at the National Heroes Stadium, kickoff at 7 pm.
Zambia fell to a 3-1 defeat against the Ivory Coast in Friday’s international friendly at the Stade de Yamoussoukro. All three goals came in the second half, with Serge Aurier and Christian Kouame scoring for the Elephants and Ibrahim Sangare adding a third goal.
After Patson Daka pulled one back for Zambia in stoppage time, the Chipolopolo have lost three of their four outings since the turn of the year. They next face a team that has lost both of their previous two matches against Zambia by a combined 6-1.
Mauritania lost 4-1 to the home team in their last competitive game on home soil. Inspired by that result, the hosts will be confident of picking up another huge victory as they look to kickstart their journey to qualification.
Comoros defeated Lesotho 2-0 on Friday evening in a routine victory at the Stade Omnisports de Malouzini. Second-half goals from Youssouf M’Changama and Benajaloud Youssouf got the job done for Amir Abdou’s men in front of a jubilant home crowd.
As a result, Les Coelacantes sit second in Group H of the qualifiers, level on points with group leaders Ivory Coast after the opening round of matches.

Zambia Team News
No injury or suspension concerns mean that Aljosa Asanovic is likely to name an unchanged starting XI for today’s game. However, it’s worth noting that 21-year-old Prince Mumba could be dropped to the bench following a subpar display last time out, which saw him subbed off at the halftime.
Comoros Team News
Comoros’s Youssouf M’Changama will be looking to continue his rich goalscoring form as he now boasts four goals in his last five appearances for club and country. Benajaloud Youssouf, 28, came off the bench to score the clincher against Lesotho.
