Bodo/Glimt will look to keep their Europa League last 32 hopes alive when they make a trip to Letzigrund Stadion to take on Zurich in their Group A round five tie on Thursday night.
Bodo/Glimt suffered back-to-back defeats to Arsenal after opening impressively in Group A. They now sit third on four points, three points behind PSV in second and four above Thursday hosts.
The Norwegian champions still have a chance to finish second in the Group, but they will need to win in their remaining two matches. They coming off back-to-back league wins over Valerenga (0-6) and Kristiansund (5-0) on the bounce from the 1-0 home defeat to Arsenal in the Europa League.
Taking on the group’s whopping boys Bodo will fancy their chances of bouncing back in Europa League and increasing their chances of securing a knockout-playoff finish in the group.
FC Zurich have nothing to play for in this clash as they are already eliminated from the competition following their poor start to the campaign. Zurich have lost all their opening four matches in Group A and currently sit at the bottom of the group with no points.
With two games still to go, Bo Henriksen’s side still can finish third, but that will only be achieved if they win both of their remaining fixtures. They will also want to at least go out in a style, but they are in poor form, having gone winless in their last 13 games across all competitions and are coming off a 4-1 home defeat to Grasshopper.
