West Ham United head into the second leg of their Europa Conference League tie with Viborg FF looking to defend a 3-1 advantage on aggregate.
However, with David Moyes’ side sitting at the bottom of the Premier League table, the Danish side will remain optimistic of pulling off arguably the greatest result of their history.
However, Viborg have been equally inconsitent in recent weeks, starting the Danish top-flight campaing with three wines and three defeats.
The latest of those setbacks came at the hands of unbeaten Randers at the weekend, although Jacob Friis’ side are just four points adrift of top spot.
Taking on West Ham is a clear step up in class from what they have previously experienced in this competition, but they have not lost a competitive game on home turf since February.
That is is something that their English foes will put into consideration, and there remains confidence that they can at least take this tie to extra time if they can rise to the occasion of one of their biggest encounters in their history.
Having brought in a number of quality players to strengthen the squad and kept the services of Declan Rice, West Ham have been backed to break back into the Premier League’s top six this season.
Instead, the Hammers sit at the bottom of the table with zero points and goals after defeats to Manchester City, Nottingham Forest and Brighton & Hove Albion.
Despite claiming a 3-1 victory over Viborg in the opening fixture of this tie, West Ham had to come through some difficult moments before scoring a potentially-pivotal goal through Michail Antonio during the closing stages.
There is still every expectation that they will come through on Thursday with minimal agitation, but a test of character will be required should they concede first in Denmark.

West Ham are currently possessing very little momentun from the Premier League and we expect Viborg to throw everything at their higher-profile opponents during the early stages.
