Lech Poznan will host Hapoel Beer Sheva at the Stadion Miejski in what is expected to be an interesting Conference League game on Thursday night.
Poznan sit second in Group C of the Conference League with three points from two games. They lost 4-3 to Villarreal on the opening night at away, before bouncing back with a 4-1 win over Austria Wien in their second group fixture.
They will now be looking to pick up their back-to-back home wins in the competition as they hope to increase their chances of progressing to the knockout stages. They are coming off a 0-0 draw with Legia Warszawa and they will be looking to build on it as they were many positives from that draw.
Meanwhile Beer Sheva have managed to pick up one point from their opening two matches in Group C. They drew 0-0 with Austria Wien on the first night at away, before going down 2-1 to Villarreal at home a week later.
They now sit third in the group standings, level on a point with rock-bottom Austria Wien and two points behind Poznan. Therefore a win on Thursday could see them climb over their hosts to the second-place, increasing their chances of progressing in the process.
The Israelis are coming off back-to-back victories in their domestic league campaign and they have not lost in any of their last five away matches. Therefore they will also feel confident of picking up three points in the Thursday’s clash.
