Vikingur and Dunajska Streda will face off at Torsvollur in the first leg of their UEFA Europa Conference League second qualifying round on Wednesday night.
Vikingur did well in the first round of the qualifiers knocking out Europa 3-1 on aggregate, winning in both legs, and they will now be looking to continue the trend as they seek to break into the group stage of the Conference League.
The Faroe Islands outfits have not been in action since the second leg of their first qualifying fixture, but they were in a brilliant form prior to the reserve leg, having gone unbeaten in eight domestic league matches. They have now gone unbeaten in their last 10 games, winning nine and drawing one in the process.
Meanwhile, Dunajska Streda managed to set up a meeting with Vikingur by beating Cliftonville in the two-legged tie, claiming a 5-1 aggregate victory. They have since beaten Liptovsky Mikulas 2-1 in the opening of the Slovakia Superliga 2022/23 campaign.
The Slovaks will now be looking to extend the winning streak as they seek to clinch a first leg advantage at away in the Wednesday’s clash.
