Tromso will host Haugesund at the Alfheim Stadion in their Eliteserien Matchday 10 tie on Sunday night with kickoff at 19:00 EAT.
Tromso have made slow start to their 2022 Eliteserien campaign with the club recording five draws from their nine opening matches while winning two and losing two in the process. They currently sit 10th in the league standings four places and three points off the relegation zone.
They are coming off three back-to-back league draws, although they warmed up for the fixture with 5-1 away victory against Jerv in a friendly fixture last week Friday. Meanwhile Haugesund have made a somewhat disappointing start to their campaign this season in the Norwegian top-flight, with the side suffering six defeats in their opening 10 games, while just claiming two wins and two draws in the process.
With eight points they now sit 14th, the relegation playoff spot, with one point adrift of safety, although they have played two more matches than the 13th-placed Sandefjord. They are coming off back-to-back draws in the Eliteserien, making it three winless games in the league as they previously were coming of a 1-4 defeat to champions Bodoe\Glimt.
Haugesund will now be looking to bounce back to winning ways as they seek to climb out of the relegation zone. But, they need to be at the top of their game on Sunday as the last time they visited Alfheim they lost 2-0.
