Tobol vs Ferencvaros Match Analysis and Prediction

Kazakhstan reigning champions Tobol will welcome Hungarian reigning champions Ferencvaros at Ortaliq Stadion for the first leg of their Champions League first qualifying round tie on Wednesday evening.

Tobol have made an impressive campaign in the Kazakhstan Premier League and sit third on the standings with 25 points from 15 matches, having recorded five wins, four draws and four defeats.

Milan Milanovic’s side will now be looking to complement their impressive domestic campaign with impressive performances in the Champions League qualifiers starting with the Wednesday’s fixture.

They head into the match in a good form having gone unbeaten in their last four Premier League matches, picking up three victories and a draw in the run and thus should be confident of kickoff their qualifying campaign positively on Wednesday.

Meanwhile Ferencvaros, who claimed their 33^rd Hungarian title last season will be looking for their second ever qualification to the Champions League group stages. They played in the group stage of 2020/21 Champions League, finishing bottom of the group that included Juventus, Barcelona and Dynamo Kiev.

In 2021/22 season, Stanislav Cherchesov’s side played in the Europa League group stage and they will be expecting to progress to the European football third time in a row. Although, Ferencvaros will be aware of the challenge facing them in the first round, with Tobol having already gotten themselves up to speed with their league campaign.
