Slovacko will welcome Partizan to Mestsky Fotbalovy Stadion for their opening tie of the Europa Conference League on Thursday night.
Slovacko dropped to the Conference League after getting eliminated in the third qualifying round of the Europa League. They then managed to book a place in the group stage of the Conference League after seeing out AIK 4-0 on aggregate in the playoff round.
They will making their debut in the group stage of a EUFA competition on Thursday and they will hope that they can get off to a positive start as Partizan come calling on Thursday.
Partizan, meanwhile, also dropped to the Europa Conference League after losing out 4-3 on aggregate to Larnaca in the third round of the Europa League qualifiers.
They then booked a place in the group stage of the Conference after crashing Spartans 7-4 aggregate in the playoff round. They will now take on Slovacko, Nice and FC Koln in Group D.
It’s a fairly tough group and Partizan will be aware of how crucial maximum points on Thursday will be and thus will head in all guns blazing. They are unbeaten in their last seven matches across all competitions and are coming off a 5-1 away win over Kolubara – a good confidence-booster that they will be keen to build on.
