Both Slovacko and Nice will be looking for their first UEFA Europa League win when face off at the Mestsky stadion Miroslava Valenty in their Group D round three fixtures on Thursday night.
Group D of the Conference League is closely contested group with only one side FC Koln have won a fixture in the opening two. All Partizan, Nice and Slovacko are still winless in the group with Partizan and Nice recording draws in their opening two matches, while Slovacko have drawn one and lost one.
The French side Nice sit third in the group standings, level on points with second placed Partizan, and the two are two points off the summit and one point above Slovacko, who sit fourth in the group.
Therefore all sides still have chance to challenge for knockout stages, although they need to start to pick up maximum points. A win on Thursday for Nice could level top of the group, while for Slovacko it could leave them second.
The two sides have been struggling in their domestic campaigns and are in poor forms heading into the Thursday clash, as Slovacko have won just once in last eight fixtures across all competitions, while Nice have won one of their last six across all competitions.
However, Slovacko’s win came last time out as they edged Zlin 2-0 at away and they will have the momentum with them, while Nice have much to amend following their back-to-back Ligue 1 defeats to Angers (0-1) and PSG (2-1).
