Sierra Leone will welcome Guinea Bissau to Stade General Lansana Conte for their second qualifying match of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations on Monday night with kickoff at 19:00 EAT.

Both side had different starts to the AFCON Qualifiers in Group A, with Sierra Leone opening with a 2-1 defeat to group’s favorites Nigeria. Sierra Leone opened the scoring via Jonathan Morsay’s header, although Nigeria completed a comeback before the break through Alex Iwobi and Victor Osimhen.

The Leone Stars will now be looking to bounce back and kick start their qualifiers as they seek back-to-back appearances in the continental showpiece.

They will however need to be on top of their game as they coming up against Guinea Bissau, who are in high spirits after their emphatic victory on their opening day. Bissau displayed ruthlessness in front of goal especially in the second-half as they raced to 5-1 victory over Sao Tome & Principe on Thursday.

They now top Group A on goal difference and will be looking to make it two wins from two when they take on Sierra Leone. A win will put them in a good position to book a spot in the showpiece next year.
