Roma will be looking to bounce back in the Europa League when they travel to Benito Villamarin Stadium in Spain to take on Real Betis in their Group C round four tie on Thursday night.
The two side faced off in round three with Real Betis grabbing a 2-1 win over Roma at away last week. The meant that the Spaniards have now won all their three matches in Group C and now sit at the top of the group on nine points, five points over second-placed Ludogorets.
They need to continue picking up maximum points this Thursday to increase their chances of finishing top of the group. They warmed for the clash with a 0-0 draw at away against Real Valladolid in La Liga last weekend, meaning, they have lost just once in their last seven matches across all competitions, picking up five victories in the run.
They should therefore be confident of maintaining the form on Thursday at home, where they have won all their last six games.
Meanwhile, the last week’s result, meant that Roma have only won once in their three Europa League matches in Group C. They currently sit third in the group, six points away from Betis at the summit, but they are just a point behind Ludogorets.
Therefore Roma will be desperate to get their Europa League campaign back on track on Thursday as they need a win to boost their chances of advancing to the knockout-places. A defeat in this clash will mean that Italian outfits will miss out on an automatic qualification to the knockout stages of the competition.
Roma beat Lecce 2-1 at home in Serie A last weekend and they look to draw confidence from that victory as they look take they revenge on Betis on Thursday.
