RB Leipzig and Celtic go head to head on Wednesday with the two sides still looking for their first Champions League victory in Group F.
The Scottish side came out on top the last time these two teams met when they claimed a 2-1 Europa League victory in Glasgow five years ago.
RB Leipzig avoided a third successive defeat across all competitions when they claimed an impressive 4-0 Bundesliga victory at home to basement club Bochum VfL last weekend.
They will welcome the return to home turf on Wednesday as they have won three of their last four matches at the Red Bull Arena, with Leipzig’s only defeat during this period being a 4-1 loss in their Champions League opener against Shakhtar Donetsk, a result that ended Domenico Tedesco’s reign with Marco Rose being appointed as his successor.
After losing 2-0 away to Real Madrid in their most recent Champions League game, Leipzig currently sit bottom of Group F without a single point, so they will be hoping for a positive result against Celtic to keep their last-16 hopes alive this season.
Meanwhile, Celtic ended their three-game winless run across all competitions with a 2-1 Scottish Premiership victory at home against Motherwell last weekend.
Ange Postecoglou and his side are set to travel to Saxony for Wednesday’s Champions League tie, with Celtic looking to claim their first away win in the competition since September 2017 when they defeated Anderlecht 3-0 in Belgium.
Victory for the Hoops at the Red Bull Arena would boost their chances of progressing from the group stage for the first time in a decade when they finished second in a group consisting Barcelona, Spartak Moscow and Benfica.
However, success against Leipzig could prove tough as Celtic have failed to win any of their 13 European away matches in Germany.

RB Leipzig news
The duo of Lukas Klostermann and Konrad Laimer are both ruled out for RB Leipzig with ankle injuries, while Dani Olmo is sidelined with a ligament issue.
Centre-back Mohamed Simakan is set to continue at right-back in the absence of Klostermann, with Xaver Schlager deputising for Laimer in centre-midfield alongside Kevin Kampl.
Celtic news
Celtic’s Georgios Giakoumakis and Carl Starfelt are both missing out through leg and knee injuries respectively, while Cameron Carter-Vickers is doubtful with a knock.
The potential absence of Carter-Vickers will likely see Moritz Jenz continue at centre-back alongside Stephen Welsh, with Juranovic and Greg Taylor keeping their places at full-back.
Prediction and Odds
Both teams will be aware that a defeat on Wednesday would significantly deal a major blow to their chances of progressing to the Champions League knockout rounds.
That said, we are backing RB Leipzig to come out on top of their Glaswegian counterparts to put all the three points on the board.
