Nottingham Forest and Huddersfield Town take a break from the Championship on Monday to face each other in the FA Cup fifth round.

While both teams come into the match with unbeaten runs of their own, Huddersfield find themselves gone for 18 matches without a defeat across all competitions.

At the start of the season, it could rarely be predicted that Forest and Huddersfield would be two of the form teams heading into March, particularly the Terriers after narrowly avoiding relegation in 2020-21.

However, since Steve Cooper took over as Nottingham head coach on September 21, these two sides are second and third respectively.

On Friday night, Huddersfield had an easy job of defeating bottom-placed Peterborough United, prevailing by a 3-0 scoreline to secure their fourth successive victory in the league.

Carlos Corberan’s side now have nine wins and seven draws from their last 16 Championship matches, but there is still a lot of work ahead if they are to remain in contention for a return to the Premier League next season.

Nottingham will call upon goalkeeper Brice Samba who has completed a three-match ban for his red card against Stoke City last month.
