Marseille welcome Feyenoord to Stade Velodrome for the second leg of their Europa Conference League tie on Thursday night with kickoff at 22:00.
Marseille have done well to get themselves in the semifinal of this competition. They won in all legs in previous three rounds including a 3-1 win on aggregate against POAK in the quarter finals. However, the French head into the second leg of the semifinals on the back foot after falling to a 3-2 defeat to Feyenoord in the first leg in Netherlands last week.
The Ligue 1 outfits are now in a must win situation on Thursday as anything less than a victory would see Feyernood advance to the finals on aggregate. Therefore, Marsellie cannot afford complacency if there are to make it to the finals and will head into the match all guns blazing
OM, however, have not been in a good form recently as they have now suffered three defeats in their last five matches and are coming off a 3-0 home defeat to Lyon in their previous Ligue 1 encounter on Saturday.
Meanwhile Feyenoord head into the match in a good form having won their last five games in a row across all competitions and are unbeaten in their last seven drawing just one in the run. They edged Sittard 3-1 at away last Saturday in the Eredivisie.
They have now won their last four consecutive matches in Eredivisie, a run that has them rise into third in the league standings. With three matches remain it will take some effort for Feyernood to challenge foe the top finishes, but they have a chance to make to the finals of the Conference League and they will be focused on that task.
A draw will suffice for the Dutch outfits and considering their recent form they more than capable of getting more than a draw on Thursday.
