Young Boys will begin their Europa Conference League qualification campaign in the second round when they travel to Daugava Stadium to take on KF Liepaja on the first leg on Thursday.
KF Liepaja started their Conference League qualification campaign in the first round, where they saw out SC Gjilani with a 3-2 victory on aggregate. They lost 1-0 in the first leg, but bounced back with a thrilling 3-1 victory in the second leg on Thursday last week.
They have not be in action since then and will hope that they are well-rested enough to keep their juggernaut rolling on Thursday as they seek to go all the through to the competition proper.
Meanwhile Young Boys finished second in the Swiss Super League booking an automatic place in the second round of the Europa Conference League qualifiers.
They kicked off they domestic league campaign with a bang, claiming a 4-0 victory over reigning champions FC Zurich on Saturday. They are now unbeaten in nine games across competitions, dating back to a 3-1 loss against Lugano in May.
However, Young Boys have managed just one win in their last ten away games, losing three and drawing six, and will be keen to end that run as they seek an away advantage over Liepaja on Thursday.
