Juventus host Fiorentina at Allianz Stadium in the second-leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final tie on Wednesday night with kickoff at 22:00.
Juventus claimed a 1-0 victory in the first leg at Artemio Franchi back in March, with a late own goal from Lorenzo Venuti separating the two on the day. They now face each other at Allianz Arena for a place in the final against either of the Milan sides.
Juventus head into the match in an inconsistent form that has them claim three victories, two defeats and a draw in their last five matches across all competitions. The Run has saw them get knocked of the Champions league following 3-0 defeat to Villarreal in the second-leg of their round of 16 tie at Allianz Stadium, and four points from their last three Serie A matches has seen the gap between and the summit increased to eight-matches.
With now five matches remain to the end of Serie A Juventus will need a miracle to clinch the title, meaning that their only real chance of claiming silverware is through winning the Coppa Italia. The Old Lady have only lost one to Fiorentina in their last 10 matches across all competitions and they should be confident of booking a place in the final.
Fiorentina meanwhile head into the match in high-flying form having gone unbeaten in their last six matches, claiming four victories and two draws in the run and are coming off a three-match winning streak in Serie A.
The run has seen them climb back into the European places, although there are level on56 points with seventh-placed Lazio. The Violas have one game in hand on Lazio though, which gives them an advantage, but they will need to extend their winning streak to increase their chances of sealing the European place.
However, this Wednesday Vincenzo Italiano’s side will take a break from the Serie A action as they look to overturn Juve’s one goal lead to book a place in the final of the Coppa Italia. They are in much better form than their opponents and will look to draw confidence from that.
