FC Copenhagen play host to Sevilla at Parken Stadium, with the two sides having suffered defeats in their respective Champions League openers last week.
While the hosts suffered a 3-0 defeat to Borussia Dortmund in their first Group G game, Sevilla were beaten 4-0 at home by Manchester City, with the teams sitting third and forth respectively in the section.
Copenhagen were winners of the Danish Superliga for the 14th time last season, which saw them qualify for the Champions League playoff round, and they managed to defeat Trabzonspor over two legs.
Jess Thorup’s side played in the Europa Conference League last season, making the round of 16 before losing to PSV Eindhoven, so it is quite the step up in class for the team this time around, and they found it difficult in their Group G opener.
Copenhagen now face a huge task to avoid finishing bottom of this group and might arguably view the matches against Sevilla as their best oppotinity to put points on the board.
Having suffered three straight defeats to Almeria, Barcelona and Manchester City, Sevilla boss Julen Lopetegui had been on the brink of facing the sack, and it had been thought that he would be relieved of his duties if the team lost at Espanyol in the league on Saturday.
Sevilla took a three-goal lead against Espanyol inside the first half, with Erik Lamela and Jose Angel Carmona on the scoresheet, but the hosts cut the deficit to 3-2 in the 62nd minute.
However, they managed to hold out for the win, which moved them into 16th place in the table, now boasting four points from their first five matches of the season.
However, Sevilla are entering a difficult run of fixtures, with their next two in the league against Villarreal and Atletico Madrid.

Marcao and Jesus Manuel Corona remain unavailable for selection for the visitors, but Papu Gomez has been named in the travelling squad despite concerns over his fitness.
Carmona scored twice from right-back last time out and should continue ahead of Jesus Navas, with Karim Rekik and Tanguy Nianzou potentially coming in.
