Crystal Palace vs Everton Match Analysis and Predictions

Crystal Palace welcome Everton to Selhurst Park for their FA Cup quarter-finals tie on Sunday afternoon with kickoff at 15:30.

Crystal Palace began their FA Cup campaign in the third round where they knocked out Millwall 2-1 at away, before seeing off Hartlepool 2-0 in the fourth round at home. They then booked a place in the quarter-finals after overcoming Stoke City 2-1 in the fifth round.

They will be looking to extend their life in the cup as they welcome a fellow top-flight outfit for the first time this term. The Eagles have had a good Premier League campaign this season with the club currently sitting in 11th, 12 points above the relegation zone.

They are coming off standout performance that saw them hold league leaders Manchester City to a 0-0 draw at Selhurst Park last Monday night. They have now gone unbeaten in their last five matches across all competitions and Patrick Vieira will hope that his side can carry on the momentum.

Meanwhile Everton also began their FA campaign in the third round where they saw out Hull City with a 3-2 win at away, before knocking out fellow Premier League outfits Brentford 4-1 at home in the fourth round.

The Toffees booked a place in the round after overcoming Boreham Wood 2-0 at home in the last-16 on March 03. They will be looking to extend their life in the cup as they eye an appearance in the semi-final for the first time since 2016.

Frank Lampard’s side head into the match in a jubilant mood having broken their nine-match losing streak in the English top-flight, following a hard-fought 1-0 win over against Newcastle at Goodison Park last Thursday night.

The victory saw them move three points off the relegation zone and they will be looking to build momentum with a positive result in the FA Cup ahead of a crucial period in the Premier League. However, the Toffees have already lost to Palace this season falling to 3-1 at Selhurst Park earlier this season. Thus it will be fascinating to see how they perform in this one.
