Celtic welcomes Bodo/Glimt to Celtic Park for what is expected to be an interesting Europa Conference League game on Thursday night with kickoff at 23:00.
Despite winning half of their group games in the Europa League, Celtic were only able to finish third and as a result were transferred to the Europa Conference League, where they start in the round of 16 at home against Bodo/Glimt.
The Hoops will be now be hoping to progress in this competition and they will fancy their chances of edging Bodo in the Thursday clash as they have been a glamorous form recently having gone 17 matches in a row without defeat since losing to Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League back in November.
They are also coming off a nine match winning streak in all competitions, which has seen then climb to the summit of Scottish Premiership table and progress to the sixth-round of the Scottish Cup. They are coming off a 4-0 win against Raith Rovers in the Scottish Cup last Sunday with the goals coming from four separate players, showcasing the attacking qualities with the squad.
Meanwhile, Bodo/Glimt started their Europa Conference League campaign in the group stage where they were impressive in Group C, finishing as runners-up with one point behind Serie A outfits AS Roma after claiming three wins and three draws from their six matches.
Now heading into the knockout stages Bodo will be looking to give a good challenge as they aim at progressing further in the competitions and the Norwegian will be confident of seeing it to their ambitions following their impressive run in the group stage and their excellent domestic campaign.
Bodo finished second in the last Eliteserien campaign, only losing three games in the process which is another massive confidence booster and the club have been involved in several friendlies lately in order to keep themselves sharp while they await the start of the 2022 Eliteserien campaign, which will commence in April.
However, the lack of competitive matches as of late is something that could prove to be a negative factor for them, especially with Celtic being so sharp right now.
