Birmingham city will look to put an end to their four-match winless run when they welcome Plymouth Argyle to St Andrew’s on Saturday night for their FA Cup third-round fixture with kickoff at 20:30.
Birmingham City have had a difficult Championship campaign this season with the club claiming seven wins all season and have collect 27 points from 24 matches and currently are 18th in the standing with eight points clear of the relegation zone.
They head into the match in poor form as they have won none of their last four matches and are coming off back-to-back defeats to Blackburn and QPR. Therefore, they will now be hoping to get back to winning ways on Saturday.
This will be the first time ever the two sides meet in FA Cup making it a historic moment and the Blues will fancy their chances as they have knocked out their opposition in lower leagues in 13 of their last 14 encounters against these sides.
Meanwhile Plymouth might enter this match as the underdogs but have been in strong form this season in League One. They are currently hold a place in the playoff spots and are chasing the promotion.
They head into the match in a good form as they have only lost one of their last five matches and are coming off back-to-back wins against Charlton and Cheltenham in League one.
They will therefore be looking to keep the momentum going on Saturday as they aim at making a good Cup run having already seen out both Sheffield Wednesday and Rochdale in the first and second rounds. However, the club has lost in eight of their last nine meeting against Birmingham and they will looking to change that this time around.
