On Monday, Altrincham will be looking for their third consecutive victory when they welcome Barnet to Moss Lane for a National League contest kickoff at 5 pm.
This season, Altrincham has 53 points from their 40 National League matches and sits in 14th place. They know that if they win all four of their remaining league matches, they will finish in the top fourteen, remaining in the division for another year.
Phil Parkinson’s side had already picked up six more points than they did in the whole of last season when they finished 17th.
Altrincham FC is confident as they head into their home meeting with Barnet FC on Monday. They have just won back-to-back games, including their most recent fixture against Dover Athletic, who have been relegated from the Football Conference.
The game ended goallessly, but Alty forward Josh Hancock scored a first-half strike to ensure his team took all three points.
Barnet is currently seven points behind leaders Eastleigh, but the London side’s National League status is also secure for next season. After losing four games in a row, the Bees showed encouraging improvement after they followed a 3-2 win over Eastleigh with a 2-2 draw against Grimsby Town.
However, they were disappointed not to collect all three points against the Mariners after letting a two-goal lead slip.
