AFC Wimbledon will be looking to put an end to their seven-match winless run across all competitions when they host Ipswich Town for an important League One fixture at The Cherry Red Records Stadium on Tuesday night with kickoff at 22:45.
AFC Wimbledon have been struggling this season with club only managing to claiming 28 points from their 25 matches and currently sit just two places and one point above the relegation zone. That’s has mostly because of their lack of cutting edge in the attack and clinical defence as they have only scored 31 goals so far while have conceded 37 in return.
Mark Robinson’s side head into the match in poor form having won none of their last seven matches across all competitions, picking up three draws and suffering four defeats in the run and they are coming off 1-1 draw against Burton with Ollie Palmer’s 70th minute goal being the only one in their last five matches in all competitions.
However, they will be looking to build on their home form having lost none of their last six home matches and they will want to keep things that way. They will desperate for the three points in this match as anything other than a win could potentially leave them in the relegation zone.
Meanwhile, despite being somewhat inconsistent this season Ipswich Town have will be delighted with where they are now as they sit in ninth on 28 points collected form their 27 matches and are eight points outside the playoff places.
They have been on upward trajectory in the league recently due a good run of form that has seen them only lose one of their last six League One matches, claiming three wins and two draws in process. They are coming off a 2-1 home victory over Accrington and will be looking to keep the ball rolling as they aim at climbing closer to the top-six.
