West Ham vs Brighton Match Analysis and Prediction

Both West Ham and Brighton will be looking to return to winning ways when they Lock horns for the 14th Premier League round at the London Stadium on Wednesday night with kickoff at 22:30.

Both sides made brilliant starts to their 2021/22 Premier League campaigns but have been faltering lately with West Ham only managing two wins in their last five games across all competitions and are coming into the match on the back of two consecutive defeats in the Premier League, while Brighton have failed to win any of their last nine games across all competitions.

However, the narrow defeats away at Wolverhampton Wanderers and Manchester City should not take away from what West Ham have already achieved in the Premier League this season as the London club has collected 23 points from 13 matches and their successive victories over Tottenham and Liverpool as well as EFL Cup victory over Manchester City should make a statement for them.  Also, they currently occupy the last Champions League spot but are level on points with the Gunners who sit in the fifth.

Nonetheless David Moyes and co will be disappointed not have built on their impressively-strong triumph against Liverpool a result that saw them move ahead of the formidable Reds and they will therefore, recognize the importance of getting back on track in the Wednesday’s clash.

Meanwhile, Brighton will feel like they have become victims of their own success, with a section of their supporters booing them after the 0-0 draw with Leeds United at the Amex last Saturday. The draw was a continuation of Brighton’s dreadful run that has seen drop to the ninth spot in the Premier League standings.

With Graham Potter’s sitting just two points above the 13th-placed Aston Villa and therefore they also recognize the importance of Wednesday’s clash and will be for the three points.
