Bournemouth will continue their pursuit of Fulham in the Championship when they travel to the Hawthorns to square off with West Bromwich Albion in their postponed Matchday 30 tie on Wednesday night with kickoff at 22:00.
West Brom remains one of the most erratic sides in the Championship following what was a bright start to the campaign. They continued their toxic form last time out as they suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Birmingham at away last Sunday. It was yet another disappointing performance as they failed to register a single attempt on target and have now just claimed two victories from their last 10 league matches.
As a result the continue to languish in the bottom half and they 12th on 54 points from 39 matches , four points off the top half while are now seven points outside the playoff spots with seven matches remaining to go.
The Baggies have also struggled at the Hawthorns recently as they have claimed just one win from their last five home matches in the Championship. Although, the win came against league leaders Fulham in their previous home league fixture, which will be a massive confidence booster for Steve Bruce’s side.
Meanwhile Bournemouth have been led a fierce chase on leaders Fulham recently with the side claiming seven victories from their last 10 league matches, suffering just one defeat tin the run. They now sit eight points behind Fulham with a game in hand.
While it is an uphill task for the Cherries to catch up with the Cottagers, they still remain well on course for an automatic promotion with their previous championship win against Bristol City extending the gap between them and the third-placed Huddersfield to six points, and sill have three matches in hand on their chasers.
Scott Matthew Parker have also been impressive on the road recently with the side claiming three victories from their four away matches and cruised to comfortable 3-0 victory over Huddersfield Town in their previous Championship fixture on the road.
