Carlos Corberan will begin his tenure as manager of West Bromwich Albion on Saturday when the team welcomes Sheffield United to the Hawthorns with kickoff at 2:30 pm.
West Bromwich Albion has struggled to return to the Premier League, with only Huddersfield Town collecting fewer points than they managed in 16 outings.
The struggles came under Steve Bruce, who departed earlier in October after a goalless draw at home to Luton Town, leaving them on 11 points from 13 games without a victory in 11 matches.
Their fortunes changed following a 2-0 win away at Reading, but they have since suffered 2-0 and 2-1 defeats to Bristol City and Millwall, respectively.
At the end of September, Saturday’s visitors were expected to be one of the Championship’s dominant forces throughout the campaign.
After 10 games and a 7-3 record, they sat atop the division heading into an international break.
However, they have not continued their fine form since returning to action this month—they are now in the midst of a six-game winless run, having only managed three points in that time and dropped to the fifth spot as a result.
After going two goals down at Bramall Lane through a Teemu Pukki brace, the South Yorkshire club managed to pull level thanks to goals from Ben Osborn and Oli McBurnie.
