Ninth takes on tenth in La Liga this weekend as Valencia welcome Osasuna to Mestalla for their Matchday 32 tie on Saturday night with kickoff at 19:30 EAT.
Both sides have made inconsistent campaigns in La Liga with Valencia recording 10 victories, 12 draws and nine defeats from their 31 matches and as result Los Che have fallen short again this season in terms of European qualification, as they are 12 points behind sixth-placed Real Sociedad.
With now seven matches remaining to go, it will take a miracle for Valencia to close the gap before the league winds up. They will however want to finish the league in the top half and now sitting just three points above the 11th-placed Espanyol Los Che will come into the match looking to bounce back from their back-to-back league draws on Saturday.
Also with the final of the Coppa Del Rey against Real Betis coming on April 23, Valencia will be looking to build momentum going into that clash, and thus they will be out for win here.
Meanwhile Osasuna have recorded 11 victories, eight draws and 12 defeats from their 31 matches to claim 41 points which gave them sitting in 10th with just a point behind their hosts. They have continued their inconsistency lately with the side alternating defeats and victories in their last six La Liga matches ad interestingly all victories have come at home while defeats have been at away.
Now according to their current form they are to lose the weekend match as they last time they claimed a 1-0 home victory against Alaves and previously they were from a 4-1 defeat at Real Betis, and they are playing at away in this match.
Also they have only scored one goal in their three matches on the road in the run and since they have also just managed to score two goals against Valencia at away in their last five visits, we don’t think they will score more than a goal here.
