Torino will host Juventus at the Olimpico di Torino in their opening Derby della Mole this season in Matchday 10 tie on Saturday.
Torino made a good start to the Serie A campaign this season, winning three of their opening five matches, while drawing one and losing one in the process.
However, Ivan Juric’s side have hit a pump lately as they have now gone four league matches without winning. They have suffered three defeats in that run, while drawing one, which came at home against Empoli last time out.
They will now be looking to get their campaign back on track when they face Juve in the Derby della Mole, but they have now failed to win in this fixture in their last 16 meetings in all competitions, suffering 12 defeats in the run.
Meanwhile Juventus’ push to return to the Serie A title race has not gone to plan in the opening weeks of this season, with Max Allegri’s side struggling for consistency. They have so far won just three of their nine league matches and they sit eighth, 10 points off Napoli at summit of the league table.
The Old Lady are coming off back-to-back 2-0 defeats to Milan in Serie A and Maccabi Haifa in the Champions League. They will therefore be desperate to turn around their fortunes and a win a local derby will be a much needed confidence booster for the upcoming Matchdays.
They have been struggling on the road this season though, and will have a lot to amend before the Saturday’s derby.
