Shamrock Rovers vs Ferencvaros Match Analysis and Prediction

Shamrock Rovers play host to Ferencvaros in the second leg of their Europa League playoff contest on Thursday knowing that the tie is effectively already over.

The Irish outfit suffered a 4-0 defeat back in Hungary, leaving them with the task of pulling off one of European football’s greatest comebacks to secure a place in the group stages of this competition.

With their performance in the previous round and their current standing in Irish football, Shamrock Rovers would have been optimistic about pulling off a surprise against Ferencvaros to progress further in the Europa League.

However, as they trailed 2-0 inside 34 minutes, it became apparent that it was a step too far for Stephen Bradley’s side, who also conceded a fourth in the final minutes.
