Real Sociedad will be looking to get their La Liga campaign back on track when they host Valencia at the Real Arena in their Matchday 13 tie on Sunday evening.
Real Sociedad picked up a 2-0 home defeat to Real Betis last time out in la Liga, making it back-to-back defeats in the league as they were previously coming off a 1-0 loss at Valladolid.
La Real followed up their weekend defeat with a midweek 1-0 loss to Man United at home in the Europa League. They however still managed to finish top of their group, which is the only positive for Manuel Pellegrini’s side in the recent weeks.
Back in La Liga, their defeat to Betis saw them drop one point behind Los Beticos, who replaced them in fourth place. Pellegrini’s side will now look to get their campaign back on track as they hope to climb back into the Champions League places.
Valencia, meanwhile, picked up a 1-0 defeat to Barcelona last time out, extending their league struggles in the recent weeks.
Los Che have now failed to win any of their last four league matches, picking up two points from the run, which have seen them drop to 10th place in the league standings with one point above the bottom half and five points outside the European spots.
Therefore they will want to get their season back on track on Saturday, but they need to raise their game up a notch if they are to come away with something from the clash.
