Real Madrid will look to take another step toward the La Liga title when they welcome real Sociedad to Santiago Bernabeu for their matchday 27 clash on Saturday night with kickoff at 23:00.

Real Madrid continued their good run in La Liga last time out when they edged Rayo Vallecano a 1-0 at away their talisman Karim Benzema sealing the deal in the 83^rd minute. Madrid have now claimed back-to-back league victories while are unbeaten in their last five top-flight matches, keeping clean sheets in each of their last four.

They continue to lead the league with six points adrift of the second-placed Sevilla and they will want to keep the gap as the league starts to draw close to an end.

Los Blancos will up against PSG in the second leg of the last-16 of the Champions League after the Saturday clash and they will want to prepare for the clash on a resounding note.

Meanwhile Sociedad claimed a 2-0 victory against Mallorca in the previous La Liga encounter at away non Sunday. The victory was their second consecutive league win and they have now lost just one of their last eight top-flight matches.

They currently sit sixth on 44 points collected from 26 matches and are just one point behind the fourth-placed Barcelona. Their target this season is to finish in the Champions League places for the first time since the 2012/14 campaign.

But they face an uphill task this weekend as they travel to take league leaders. The last time they won against real Madrid at Bernabeu in la Liga was back in January 2019 and with Madrid’s home form this season it will be a tricky challenge for Sociedad to overcome them.
