Real Madrid and Real Betis will end their 2021-22 La Liga campaign when they take on each other at Santiago Bernabeu on Friday night with kickoff at 22:00 EAT.
Real Madrid have dominated the La Liga this season, with the side winning 26, drawing seven and losing four of their 37 matches, scoring 80 times and conceding 31 in the process. They head into the final fixture having already won the La Liga title and now have one eye on the Champions League final against Liverpool at the end of the month.
Therefore we expect Carlo Ancelotti to mix the squad against Betis as he also has nothing to fight for in this clash. Los Blancos have a good home record, though, and they will also want to finish their title winning campaign on a high.
Real Betis have also made an impressive campaign this season with the side recording 19 wins, seven draws and 11 defeats from their 37 games, to collect 64 points that have them sitting fifth, three points behind Sevilla in fourth.
Los Beticos still have a chance of finishing top four as they are level on goal difference with Sevilla and a win on Friday could secure them a top four finish, but they will hope that Sevilla lose in their fixture. A poor result however would leave them sixth since they are just two points above Real Sociedad.
Real Betis head into the match on the back of two consecutive wins against Valencia 0-3 and Granada 2-0. They have now won three of their last five league matches and they should be confident of extending that run on Friday. Betis have also been excellent on their travels in La Liga this season with the side recording the third-best away form, having secured 32 points from their 18 games on the road.
