Real Betis will welcome Osasuna to Benito Villamarini for their La Liga Matchday 30 tie on Sunday evening with kickoff at 17:15.
Real Betis have recently experienced a slight dip in form following a brilliant run this season that had them spent of the campaign in top-three of the La Liga. However, only four points from their last league matches has seen Manuel Pellegrini’s side drop into down to fifth in the standings and now sit four points behind both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, who sit in fourth and fifth respectively.
Betis have also been knocked out of the Europa League following a 3-2 defeat on aggregate to Bundesliga outfits Eintracht Frankfurt and they now only have La Liga and the Coupe Del Rey final to focus on.
With only nine matches remaining, Pellegrini will be aware that they cannot afford any more slip-ups if they are going to stand a chance of securing a top-four finish. Therefore, they will look to get back on track in the Sunday clash and they will fancy their chances as they have not lost to Osasuna in their last eight meeting, winning in all the last four.
Osasuna on the other hand, have made an inconsistent campaign this season with the side claiming 10 victories, eight draws and 11 defeats from their 29 matches to collect 38 points, which have left them sitting 10th in the standings, 10 points behind the sixth-placed Real Sociedad.
They head into the match in good-spirits as they recorded a 3-1 victory over Levante at home prior to the international break. They have now two of their last three league matches and will be looking to build on that as they hope to get closer the top six, while also maintaining their top-half place in the process.
