Barcelona will be fighting to maintain their top-two finish in La Liga when they make a trip to Benito Villamarin to square off against Real Betis in their Matchday 35 tie on Saturday night with kickoff at 22:00 EAT.
Real Betis have punched above their weight this season with the club winning the Copa Del Rey and are still in the top-four race in La Liga standings. They fifth on 58 points, three points behind the fourth-placed Atletico Madrid with still four games to go.
However, despite still being in the top-four race, Real Betis have recently struggled for form as they have failed to win any of their last three league matches, picking up two draws and one defeat. To keep their Champions League hopes alive, Betis need to bounce back to winning ways as soon as possible.
They claimed a 1-0 win against the Catalans in the reverse fixture and will look to draw confidence from that as they seek to put pressure on Atletico Madrid.
Barcelona, on the other hand managed to bounce back to winning ways when they claimed a 2-1 win over Mallorca last weekend. They have been struggling for form recently following what was a tremendous resurgence in the league.
They still remain second in La Liga but are just two points above Sevilla with four matches still remaining to go. The Catalans will want to finish the season as high as possible and thus will head into this match looking to come away with all three points.
Before losing 1-0 to Betis earlier this season, Barcelona had previously won their last five La Liga encounters in a row against the Green and Whites, and the last time they visited Benito Villamarin they claimed a 3-2 victory. They should therefore be confident heading into the tie.
