Valencia will be looking to make it back-to-back victories in La Liga when they travel to Estadio de Vallecas in their Matchday Five tie on Saturday.
Rayo Vallecano have not been at their best this season as they have won just one of their opening four matches, while losing two and drawing one in the process.
Vallecano now sit 14th in La Liga points with four points, three points of the relegation zone and three outside the top half of the table.
They are coming off back-to-back defeats to Mallorca (2-0) at home and to Osasuna (2-1) at away. and they will be keen to bounce back on Saturday as they seek to break into the top half of the table. When playing at home, they have not lost to Valencia in their last four encounters and they will hope to maintain the run on Saturday.
Valencia have been inconsistent this season so far as the side has recorded two victories and two defeats in their four matches, and currently sit 10th in league standings, three points above their Saturday hosts and one point outside the European places.
Having missed out on Europe last season Los Che will be desperate to clinch a top seven finish this time around, but they need to keep their results steady. They trashed Getafe 5-1 in their previous league match and will be keen to build on the victory this weekend.
