Rangers and West Ham will continue their pre-season preparations when they lock horns at the Ibrox Stadium on Tuesday night.
Both sides have already started their pre-season preparations with Rangers playing two friendly matches, where they opened with a 1-0 defeat to Sunderland before bouncing back with a 2-1 win over Blackpool.
Rangers will now take on West Ham and Tottenham Hotspur in their remaining pre-season matches, before opening their 2022/23 Scottish Premiership campaign at away against Livingston on July 30. Rangers finished second in the Premiership last season, but did reach the final of the Europa League where they lost Frankfurt 5-4 on penalties.
They will ne targeting for the Premiership title next season and another successful run in the European football, but this time hoping for title if they make it to the final. They need a good pre-season period so they can hit the ground running when the league opens, and thus they will be looking for another positive result on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, West Ham have played four pre-season friendlies so far against Servette, Boreham Wood, Ipswich Town and Reading, claiming two wins and two draws in the run.
The Hammers will now take on Rangers and RC Lens in their remaining pre-season games, before kicking off their 2022/23 Premier League campaign at home against the reigning champions, Man City on August 7.
David Moyes had a good first half of the last season, but struggled for form in second-half especially towards the end, which saw them drop from being top-four contenders to finishing seventh and thus will play in the Europa Conference League next season.
Therefore, this season they will be looking to offer another challenge for the top four spot and end up in the Europa League if they fail to clinch a Champions League spot again.
