After securing a 4-2 victory in the first leg, Rangers will welcome Borussia Dortmund to Ibrox on Thursday for their secong leg clash in the Europa League playoff round.
The hosts currently have a two-goal advantage, but will be wary of the threat the visitors are likely to pose, as the German outfit head to Glasgow off the back of a 6-0 victory in the Bundesliga against Burrusia Monchengladbach last weekend.
Rangers supporters witness a special performance from Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s men last week, as they surprised everyone by taking control of the playoff tie.
James Tavernier, Alfredo Morelos and John Lundstram all got on the scoresheet and an own goal from Dan-Axel Zagadou added the fourth, but second half goals from Jude Bellingham and Raphael Guerreiro gave Dortmund a fighting chance of a comeback.
That victory was followed by a 1-1 draw away at Dundee United, a result that has seen them fall three points behind rivals Celtic at the top of the Premiership table.
Van Bronckhorst and his side will now focus fully on Thursday’s second leg and despite their league form facing a minor drop, their recent record at Ibrox across all competitions will provide them with plenty of confidence.
Following the victory at the weekend, Dortmund now sit second in the Bundesliga standings and six points behind league leaders Bayern Munich.
They have now alternated between victory and defeat in each of their last seven matches, an inconsistent run head coach Marco Rose will be keen to rectify.
Dortmund head to Glasgow on Thursday having lost four of their seven away matches against Scottish teams in European competition.
However, they have found the back of the net in each of their last 10 away matches this season, scoring at least twice on six of these occasions.
