Qarabag will be looking to bounce back from their opening night defeat in the Europa League when they welcome Nantes to Tofiq Bahramov Republican Stadium on Matchday Two in Group G.
Qarabag suffered a 2-1 away defeat to Freiburg on the opening night of the Europa League campaign last week, with Vincenzo Grifo and Ritsu Doan grabbing two early goals for the Germans, while Marko Vesovic pulled one back for the Horsemen.
They managed to bounce back on the weekend as they pulled a comeback to win 4-3 at home against Sabah Baku in the Azerbaijan Premier League. The victory will do them a great deal in terms of boosting their confidence ahead of their European endeavors on Thursday.
Meanwhile Nantes made their dream start to the Europa League campaign as they claimed a 2-1 win over Olympiacos on the opening night, all thanks to a 93rd-minute winner from Evann Guessand.
The win marked only their second win this season across all competitions. they slammed to 3-2 defeat to Lorient in their previous fixture in Ligue 1, extending their struggles this season.
They have now also failed to win any of their last four matches on the road this term and have a lot to amend before the Thursday’s clash.
