PSV and Rangers will be battling for a place in the Champions League when they face off in the second leg of their playoff fixture on Wednesday night.
The match is delicately poised following a 2-2 thrilling draw in Scotland last week. Now both sides have a good chance of making it to the Champions League group stage with any win on Wednesday, but PSV will have a home advantage.
Rangers followed up the draw with another 2-2 draw in the Scottish Premiership last weekend, with the Gers coughing up a stoppage-time leveler and they have much to do before their Wednesday clash.
The league draw saw Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side fall two points behind Celtic, but the disappointment will be blown away if his side can make it to the Champions League. Last season Rangers were good in the European football making to the final of the Europa League, and upset several big teams including Borussia Dortmund and they will look to turn that charm on Wednesday.
Meanwhile PSV have not been in action since the first leg and they will hope there are well-rested for the returning leg.
The Dutch outfit did well in the first leg pushing Rangers to a 2-2 draw at Ibrox, which increased their unbeaten run to six matches across all competitions. Ruud van Nistelrooy will demand a similar performance displayed by his side in the first leg and with a home advantage they could see out the Scotts.
