After a late victory away at Swansea City in midweek, Championship leaders Sheffield United will look to make it nine unbeaten in the league when they travel to Deepdale on Saturday to face Preston North End with kickoff at 5 pm.
Preston North End has had a mixed start to the season. They have won their first six league games without letting in a goal, but they have only scored one and gained eight points.
Against Coventry City, they won 1-0, and Emil Riis Jakobsen scored his second-season goal. This put Preston on their second three-point haul of the season.
However, they were beaten 1-0 by Birmingham City, and this was their first defeat of the season. After this defeat, they turned their attention to Bristol City.
But unfortunately, the death of Queen Elizabeth II caused all fixtures across the country to be postponed, meaning that Preston North End will not play until Tuesday (16th November).
This weekend, though, they face a particularly tough test as league leaders Sheffield United arrive aiming to make it four wins on the bounce and nine games unbeaten in the Championship.
Since an opening-day defeat at Watford, The Blades have established themselves as title contenders by collecting 20 points from the last eight matches/

Preston North End Team News
Centre-back Bambo Diaby and attacker Sean Maguire have recently returned to contention after injury. Still, Preston manager Alex Neil has little reason to change the back three of Jordan Storey, Liam Lindsay and Greg Cunningham. They have maintained their impressive defensive record since Andrew Hughes was sidelined.
Sheffield United Team News
The injury problems do not seem to improve for Sheffield United, as defenders Max Lowe, Enda Stevens, Jack Robinson, Jack O’Connell, Ciaran Clark, and Jayden Bogle remain sidelined. This is along with Ben Osborn, John Fleck, and Billy Sharp.
Prediction and Odds
We do not think that Preston’s struggling attack will be able to break down the league’s strongest defence on Saturday, so we expect Manchester City to continue their winning streak and get a victory.
