Zhejiang Professional vs Chengdu Rongcheng Match Analysis & Prediction

Zhejiang Professional’s bid to secure an AFC Champions League Qualifiers spot for next season is once again set to be put to test ahead of their Thursday match at Huzhou Olympiu Sports Center against Rongcheng, who currently find themselves on the outside looking in for next season’s appearance in the competition.
The hosts are currently sitting in third place in league standings, having played 30 matches to collect 58 points, 11 points adrift of current league leaders Wuhan Three Towns, and any result on Thursday would leave them on the same spot.
Zhejiang Professional enter the contest off the back of a 2-0 victory over Meizhou Hakka in their last Chinese Super League match at home, which saw them extend their league unbeaten run to seven matches – with six wins and one draw.
Now having won each of their last five matches in the Chinese Super League, their will be plenty of confidence within the Zhejiang Professional camp ahead of Thursday’s contest, especially as they play on their own turf, and they will also need an ideal preparation for their next fixture which is an FA Cup encounter with Guangzhou City on December 19.
Meanwhile, Rongcheng head into the contest off the back of a goalless draw with Shanghai Port in their last league match at Jinjiang Sports Center to extend their unbeaten run to 10 – with seven wins and three draws.
That has left them sitting in fourth place on 55 points after 30 matches, three point behind their third-placed opponents ahead of the game, and they are the first team outside of the AFC Champions League Qualifiers spots.
The previous Chinese Super League encounter between the sides saw them play out a 1-1 draw at Dujiangyan Phoenix Stadium in October, with Donovan Ewolo scoring for Zhejiang Professional in the 82nd minute, while Rongcheng benefited from a Dong Yu own goals.
