Sevilla vs Granada Match Analysis & Prediction

Sevilla will play host to relegation-threatened Granada in Sunday night’s La Liga gameweek 34 match Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
Los Nervionenses were anticipated to end this season in the bottom half, but a late-season resurgence could cause a rise in the standings.
Sevilla had secured one win in five (two defeats) before a 1-0 victory over Getafe in late March ledt to a four-game unbeaten turnaround, witnessing three wins on the bounce and a hard-fought draw in last week’s Seville derby with Real Betis (1-1).
With 38 points from 33 matches, Snachez Flores’s side are five points adrift of 10th-placed Getafe and seven behind Villarreal in ninth, making a top-half finish achievable for Sevilla.
Despite a pitiful home record for much of the 2023-24 campaign, three wins from their last four matches points to a late-season improvement in Seville, giving Sevilla the egde against the second-bottom visitors.
Sevilla’s aim to secure a sixth win at Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan faces a desperate Granada side keen to avoid relegation from the top-flight.
Jose Ramon Sandoval is Granada’s third head coach this season, with the struggling side parting ways with Paco Lopez and Alexander Medina, seeking the necessary turnaround to beat the drop.
Despite the new manager recently securing seven points from an available nine following marginal losses to Cadiz and Valencia, Granada are 19th on 21 points, 10 points adrift of Celta in 17th.
With just five games left to play, and an encounter with Celta on the second-last gameweek of 2023-24, Granada must secure wins leading up to round 37 and hope the fourth-bottom side stay winless in that period.
A defeat for Granada this weekend, and wins for 16th-placed Mallorca (32 points) and Celta (31) against Atletico Madrid and Villarreal respectively will see the second-bottom club return to the Segunda Division.
