Morocco vs Georgia Match Analysis & Prediction

In their final warm-up game ahead of the FIFA World Cup opener, Morocco go head to head with Georgia at the Sharjah Stadium on Thursday.
The visitors head onto the contest off the back of an impressive run in the UEFA Nations League and will be looking to continue in the same vein.
After a 20-year absence, Morocco secured a second consecutive appearance at the World Cup through a fine qualifying campaign earlier this year.
Morocco picked up six points from their six matches in Group I to claim top spot and a spot in the March’s playoffs, where they defeated Congo DR 5-2 on aggregate.
However, the Atlas Lions head into Qatar looking to improve on their disappointing performance in Russia four years ago, when they finished bottom of Group B after failing to win any of their three games.
Walid Regragui’s side head into Qatar in solid form and regardless of Thursday’s result, they will be backing themselves to equal their best-ever campaign which came in 1986, when they reached the knockout stages.
Meanwhile, Georgia failed to secure their first-ever appearance at the World Cup after an underwhelming run in the qualifiers, where they finished just two points above bottom-placed Kosovo in Group B.
The Jvarosnebi lost five of their opening six games, with a 1-1 draw against Greece on March 31 being the exception, before closing out the campaign with successive victories over Kosovo and Sweden.
However, that served as a springboard for a fine run of form as they would go on to record two victories and one draw from three friendlies before enjoying an impressive run in the UEFA Nations League.
Georgia head into Thursday on a run of nine victories and two draws in their last 11 matches across all competitions, with their last defeat coming in October 2021.
Morocco vs. Georgia Head to head
