Konyaspor vs Sivasspor Match Analysis & Prediction
11/12/2023 8:00 pm
A crucial bottom-half match in the Turkish Super Lig will be played on Monday night, with Sivasspor travelling to Konya Buyuksehir Belediye Stadyumu to face Konyaspor.
The hosts currently occupy 15th position in the league standings with 14 points in as many matches, while the visitors are 13th and just one points above their opponents.
Aleksandar Stanojevic’s side have managed just three wins, five drawn and six losses this season and are level on points with 17th-placed Alanyaspor, who are the first team inside the relegation zone.
Konyaspor secured their spot in the fifth round of the Turkish Cup in midweek with a 3-0 victory over lower-league Beyoglu Yeni Carsi, although they will need to try and bring the same level of performance back to the league action.
Their last league game ended in a 2-2 draw against Alanyaspor, meaning they have now posted just one victory in their last 10 league matches, which was a 2-0 victory over Kasimpasa following the international break last month.
Meanwhile, Sivasspor have a record of three wins, six draw and five losses so far this season, and they head into the contest having failed to win any of their last four league matches, including two draws and two losses.
Servet Cetin’s side also progressed to the next round of the Turkish Cup in midweek with a 2-1 victory over Arnavutkoy Belediyespor, with former Al Nassr striker Ahmed Musa scoring his first goal for the club since his arrival.
While their league record of late does little to inspire confidence in their chances here, Sivasspor have collected 10 of their 14 points away from home this season and are unbeaten in their last three visits to this venue dating back to December 2020.
Konyaspor vs. Sivasspor Head to head
In the 43 previous meetings between these two teams, they have each claimed 15 victories while they have drawn in 13. Konyaspor have scored 51 goals and conceded 47 in the process.

Konyaspor Team News
Konyaspor’s Ahmet Oguz picked up a muscle strain against Alanyaspor, and his absence should see Cebrail Karayel step into the four-man backline for this game.
Oguz will join Nelson Oliveira (knock), Gokhan Tore (ankle) and attacker Muhammet Demir (ACL) on the treatment table.

Sivasspor Team News
Sivasspor are set to remain without Bengali-Fode Koita for the foreseeable future, which should see Rey Manaj continue as the sole striker for this game.
Wingers Emrah Bassan and Gerson Rodrigues are both ruled out for this game with calf injuries, while Modou Barrow is still recovering from a muscle injury and is a few weeks away from returning.
