Konyaspor vs Fenerbahce Match Analysis & Prediction
06/05/2024 8:00 pm
Two teams at opposite ends of the Turkish Super Lig table will meet on Monday night as Konyaspor play host to Fenerbahce at Medas Konya Buyuksehir Stadyumu.
Konyaspor suffered a 1-0 defeat to Sivasspor at the Yeni 4 Eylul Stadyumu last Saturday, making it two defeats on the bounce for the Anatolian Eagles and leaving their top-flight status in jeopardy.
Fahrusin Omerovic’s side saw their resistance broken in the 86th minute when Rey Manaj scored for Sivasspor and they could not find a way back into the game.
With 36 points picked up from their 34 league matches this season, Konyaspor occupy 16th position in the standings, just two points clear o the relegation zone.
Having collected 19 points from 16 home matches, the third-lowest number of points on home soil by a side in this season, Konyaspor will be hoping to find a way to stop an opposition that has dominated them.
Meanwhile, Fenerbahce return to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over 10-man Besiktas through goals from Michy Batshuayi and Irfan Kahveci.
The Yellow Canaries remain four points adrift of city rivals Galatasaray at the top of the Turkish Super Lig table, with four games left to play.
Ismail Kartal’s side are the best team on the road in the division this season and they remain the only club without an away defeat so far. They are unbeaten in 17 away matches in this campaign, with 15 wins and two draws.
Konyaspor vs. Fenerbahce Head to head
In the previous 48 meetings between these two teams, Konyaspor have claimed nine victories while Fenerbahce have won 36, and they have drawn in three. Fenerbahce have scored 124 goals and conceded 50 in the process.
