Kayserispor vs Sivasspor Match Analysis and Prediction

Sivasspor will be looking to pick up their fifth win in seven games as they travel to the Kadir Has Stadium to face Kayserispor in round 19 of the Turkish Super Lig on Monday.

Meanwhile, Kayserispor will be heading into the game seeking to end their three-game winless run and get one over the visitors after suffering defeat in both home and away fixtures last season.

Kayserispor put on an impressive display last Thursday when they came from two goals down to claim a 2-2 draw against Yeni Malatyaspor at the New Malatya Stadium.

Having fallen two goals behind in the first half, Hikmet Karaman’s side rallied in the second half as substitutes Mario Gavranovic and Mustafa Pektemek scored to force a share of the spoils.

They had before that seen their two-game winning run come to an end courtesy of a 4-2 defeat at the hands of Besiktas, before getting a goalless draw with Gaziantep one week later.

Kayserispor are now winless in six of their most recent seven league games, with a 2-0 win over Antalyaspor on December 5 being the only victory, and this poor run of results has seen them drop to 15th in the Super Lig table after collecting 21 points from 18 games.

Sivasspor’s rise into the top half of the league standings stopped last time out when they were held to a 1-1 draw against Caykur Rizespor side.

Both Olarenwaju Kayode and Joel Pohjanpalo scored for either side to force a share of points, and Riza Calimbay’s men were guilty of failure in finishing as they wasted clear-cut chances to seal the game.

Sivasspor will head into Monday’s game as the division’s third-best defensive side after collecting 17 goals in 18 games, with only first-placed Trabzonspor and second-placed Konyaspor conceding fewer so far.
