Hebei FC vs Shenzhen Match Analysis & Prediction
15/12/2022 3:00 pm
With the Chinese Super League approaching its conclusion, Shenzhen sit in mid-table going into Thursday’s encounter at Wuyuan River Stadium Field 2 with a Hebei FC side who cannot avoid relegation having failed to get on track this season.
The hosts are currently sitting at the bottom of the Chinese Super League table on -6 points in 30 matches played, and have scored just 15 goals while conceding 104.
Hebei FC enter the contest off the back of a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Beijing Guoan at home in their last league match, which has seen them extend their losing streak to 23 matches. The last time they were victorious was on July 30, when they came out on top 2-1 at home to Wuhan Yangtze, and they have since lost each of their subsequent matches.
Ruan Qilong opened the scoring for Beijing Guoan in the 32nd minute and Liu Huan doubled in the 43rd minute to ensure the hosts headed into the interval with a two-goal advantage. Qilong then got of the target for the second time in the 55th minute before Pan Ximing’s own goal wrapped up things in the 69th minute.
Meanwhile, Shenzhen suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Changchun Yatai in their last Chinese Super League match at Wuyuan River Stadium Field 2, their third successive loss, which has left them in 14th place on 30 points. They have scored 29 goals and conceded 56 through 29 matches.
Shenzhen have got the better of Hebei FC of late, unbeaten in their last five Chinese Super League matches. The hosts will be looking for their first league victory in matches between the two sides since November 2015, with the visitors having outscored them 10-3 during their unbeaten run.
Zhang Xiaorui’s side won the last league encounter between these two sides, coming out on top 2-1 at Shenzhen Universiade Sports Centre in October, with Gao Lin scoring for Shenzhen in the 10th and 17th minutes while Liao Wei scored for Hebei FC in the 7th minute.
Hebei FC vs. Shenzhen Head to head
These two teams have previously met on 10 occasions across all competitions, where Hebei FC have claimed three victories while Shenzhen have won five, and they have drawn twice. Shenzhen have scored 16 goals and conceded 10 in the process.
