Forest Green Rovers vs Wrexham Match Analysis & Prediction

27/02/2024 10:45 pm

Forest Green Rovers and Wrexham will meet in a rescheduled gameweek 21 fixture in League Two at the Bolt New Lawn on Tuesday night.
The match should have been played in December, but heavy rainfall the night before the encounter meant it had to be rescheduled.
Second-bottom Forest Green Rovers welcome promotion-chasing Wrexham, keen to secure their third win in four when they play host to the Welsh side this week.
Steve Cotterill has masterminded recent victories over Barrow and Tranmere Rovers, securing the Greens wins after nearly four months.
Forest Green are four points behind 22nd-placed Grimsby having played a game more than the club they chase but are five behind a Colchester United outfit on the same number of matches (33).
Meanwhile, the wheels have seemingly come off in 2024, with Wrexham winning just two of their previous seven League Two matches, having claimed maximum points in seven of the preceding 10 (two losses).
Those results have seen the Robins fall out of the automatic promotion spots, but a win on Tuesday takes them into third ahead of Crewe Alexandra.
Phil Parkinson’s side head into the midweek contest after picking up one points from six, with Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Gillingham Wrexham’s eighth of 2023-24.
With the hosts seemingly in fine form, a victory is far from guaranteed for the fourth-placed side, whose ambition to move up the division has hit a snag in 2024.
Forest Green Rovers vs. Wrexham Head to head
In the 19 previous meetings between these two teams, Forest Green have claimed five victories while Wrexham have won eight, and they have drawn in six. Wrexham have scored 23 goals and conceded 21 in the process.
